Abbozzo Gallery News
Early next week, we'll be preparing for OSA in the GTA, our exhibition of work by members of the Ontario Society of Artists. Our show will include Ron Eady, Mary Ellen Farrow, Judith Graham, Heather Horton and Janice Mason Steeves. We will have new work from each of these artists. Web site coming soon so stay tuned.

We are pleased to welcome back Don Besco to the gallery! Don's wonderful paintings of Toronto, Cambridge and surrounding areas were always very popular so we are happy to represent him again.

Heather Horton in the news!
In the Globe and Mail today, section L, Facts and Arguments, is a wonderful article written about the purchase of Heather's painting 'Side Door'. It's all about the attraction of a work of art and one woman's struggle to justify the expense and how she does just that.
We've just sent out our monthly e-newsletter. If you're not signed up for our e-mail client list, join now by clicking
here and filling out the form. We also just (snail) mailed our invitation to the first solo exhibition this year which is for Daniel Ross. Watch for that arriving in your mail box this week - unless you're overseas - which many of our clients are! In fact, I just mailed the international invitations and we mail to Norway, Holland, Bermuda, Ireland, Wales, New Zealand, the USA of course, and I'm sure I've missed one or two. Art is universal and we ship anywhere!
Here is the image on the invitation. If you don't receive one, just give us a call and we'll mail one to you.
Last year, Daniel Ross was preparing for an exhibition in Ottawa and we really wanted to see the new work before it was shipped out. We walked into his home studio and were 'blown away' as they say by this new series of paintings. At first you want to say it's so different from Dan's previous work but there are so many connections - as one would expect. Judge for yourself.

I attended Naoko Matsubara's two exhibitions in Pittsburgh - at Chatham University and the Carnegie Museum of Art - which opened the first week of March. First time in Pittsburgh and really enjoyed it; only a 4 1/2 hour drive from Oakville. Chatham University campus is incredibly beautiful - trees, rolling hills and a great view of the city.
Here are a few photos from Chatham which featured works from Naoko's many books.
